Senior Technical Consultant

As a Senior Technical Consultant you will:

  • be member of a small group of experienced technologists whose charter is to maximise WeWebU customer success via for-fee consulting engagements. Your role on customer projects is as the WeWebU subject matter expert, mitigating the technology risks around WeWebU and providing specific guidance on how WeWebU’s capabilities can best be leveraged to meet the specific requirements of the customer.
  • be responsible for system architecture definition, application design, integration, definition and dissemination of best practices, and working with the partners and customers on implementations of and extensions to the core WeWebU product.
  • be technically skilled in WeWebU OpenWorkdesk and the underlying ECM-platforms like IBM ECM and Alfresco.
  • be a utility player, at times taking on other roles such as pre-sales, training, support etc.

We expect from you

  • Serve as the WeWebU subject matter expert on multiple WeWebU implementations.
  • Work with partners in developing new extensions, features, samples, etc.
  • Provide customers and partners with a first line of developer assistance as they work to integrate ECM-platforms like IBM ECM and Alfresco with the WeWebU products.
  • Deliver WeWebU technical training to customers, prospects and the community.
  • Provide backup to the support team for issues that go beyond the core product.
  • Work with the pre-sales team to technically qualify deals.

Qualifications

  • Professional Services / Consulting experience.
  • Project management and requirements analysis experience.
  • Must be technically skilled with a customer-centric mind & exceptional communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, learn quickly, be proactive and to go a “step further” than regular job responsibilities when required.
  • Passion for working in an international environment with fast-evolving company organization and market.
  • 3 years minimum experience in a consulting, project leadership or solutions engineering position.
  • Experience in the ECM market (concepts, products) represents a significant advantage.
  • Experience of working for an ECM vendor would be a big plus.
  • Experience with the Open Source market & trends desired.
  • Must be fluent in English and German, both in written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
  • BS/BA degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience; MBA is a plus.

Technical Skills

  • Detailed understanding of ECM architectures and technologies represents a significant advantage.
  • Java, Java Script & XML technologies – with ability to develop code.
  • Knowledge of OS (Windows & Linux), RDBMS (MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server), Application Servers (Jboss, Tomcat) - i.e. all major layers of the technical stack required by WeWebU products – and ability to configure / troubleshoot quickly installations or configurations issues.

Placement

You will have your primary workplace at your home-office or at our headquarters in Herzogenaurach, Germany, but up to 30% within Europe and occasionally North-America will occur.
