Presales Solutions Engineer

As a Presales Solutions Engineer you will:

  • be the prime interlocutor in dealing with product and solution inquiries coming from prospects and / or partners.
  • be technically skilled in WeWebU OpenWorkdesk and the underlying ECM-platforms like IBM ECM and Alfresco
  • be able to communicate at multiple levels: technical architects, developers, IT system administrators and end-users.

We expect from you

  • product demonstrations (either through on-site demos, remote demos using Internet-based tools, participation to trade shows etc.).
  • the handling of product inquiries originated from prospects and/or partners as well as the management and coordination of related follow-up activities.
  • the adaptation/customization of pre-sales presentations and materials.
  • the liaison with the WeWebU product development team and product management with regards to product roadmap, functionalities, technical questions etc.
  • to assist and provide partners with technical drive and leadership in their WeWebU sales engagement activities.
  • a strategic and active development of new demo scenarios showing the benefits of the WeWebU products.

Qualifications

  • Must be technically skilled with a customer-centric mind and exceptional communication skills.
  • Must be fully aware of the sales process.
  • Ability to work independently, learn quickly, be proactive and to go a “step further” than regular job responsibilities when required.
  • Passion for working in an international environment with fast-evolving company organization and market.
  • 3 years minimum experience in a consulting, project leadership or solutions engineering position.
  • Experience in the ECM market (concepts, vendors, products).
  • Experience with the Open Source market & trends desired.
  • Must be fluent in English, both in written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
  • BS/BA degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Technical Skills

  • Detailed understanding of ECM architectures and technologies.
  • Java, Java Script & XML technologies – with ability to develop code (e.g. for a customized demo).
  • Knowledge of OS (Windows & Linux), RDBMS (MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server), Application Servers (Jboss, Tomcat) - i.e. all major layers of the technical stack required by WeWebU products – and ability to configure / troubleshoot quickly installations or configurations issues.

Placement

You will have your primary workplace at your home-office or at our headquarters in Herzogenaurach, Germany, but up to 30% travelling within Europe and occasionally North-America will occur.
