Extended Platform Support & Usability Enhancements

Herzogenaurach, 05/18/2011: WeWebU Software AG, a manufacturer of standard software for Enterprise Information Management, has announced the latest release of its flagship product WeWebU OpenWorkdesk. Highlights of the release are an extended platform support as well as important usability enhancements.

Besides the enhanced support of IBM Content Manager 8, the new release also provides an enhanced CMIS adapter that allows accessing two CMIS compliant Enterprise Content Management (ECM) systems at the same time from WeWebU OpenWorkdesk Enterprise and Pro applications. Furthermore, OpenWorkdesk now supports the open source product OpenLDAP for authentication. Therefore, it can now also be deployed in pure Linux environments. Alfresco projects will benefit from the support of Alfresco Aspects.

Users will enjoy the new AJAX tree that opens and closes fast and smoothly. In addition, they can now resize parts of the screen by just grabbing and moving a separator with the mouse. Tailor made input masks that are adjusted to the document class can be created without programming and will help users to index documents as easy as never before.

The Advanced Document Viewing component now generates thumbnails of documents that can be shown in hit lists or as mouse-over pop-ups giving a user a fast glance on the document without the need to read title and metadata. By means of a new way of associating and grouping objects advanced eFile solutions like contract management can now easily be set up.

WeWebU OpenWorkdesk 3.1 is available immediately.
