Additionally, automated workflows for processing credit or account applications support efficient working. In OpenWorkdesk, content and processes are closely tied together. For instance, clerks can access the appropriate customer file directly from the processing workflow of a request for a loan. Longsome file retrieval and transportations are not necessary anymore. The employees’ productivity rises and so does the customers’ satisfaction.
Contract files with predefined structure are created at the push of a button. By means of simple integration in back-end systems, data like customer master number, name and address of the account holder can be checked and transferred. Likewise, a new account number can be generated and will be automatically applied to all new documents related to this customer. OpenWorkdesk Zero-Install Desktop Integration even allows to populate fields in MS Office documents with metadata – like the customer number - from the ECM system. This is fast and convenient and assures data consistency at the same time. Tasks can be assigned both to documents and eFiles and thus it is assured that no deadlines are missed and contracts are either terminated or renewed at the proper time.
It is even possible to combine documents from different ECM systems, e.g. account statements from IBM Content Manager OnDemand (CMOD) and contracts in the works from IBM Content Manager (CM8), in a single customer folder or define searches that will find documents from different systems as well. Usually it would be difficult do display all these different document types from different systems in a consistent way. Not so with OpenWorkdesk! Its Advanced Document Viewing assures exactly that. In addition it generates thumbnail preview pictures of the documents that can be displayed in hit lists and enable fast and convenient identification of certain documents.
All depends on the users' roles
WeWebU OpenWorkdesk’s role concept guarantees that every user is provided with exactly those information and functions he needs according to his role in the corporation. The views on the data and document store exactly fit to the users’ role and thus let copious navigation fall into oblivion and increase data security. For example employees in the back office see new credit applications directly in the eFile of the respective customer. On the other hand, the head of department sees them in the folder “In Progress” and thus gets an overview of all current applications.
If in a Software-as-a-Service environment several banks use the same ECM application in alliance, WeWebU OpenWorkdesk is always shown in the adequate corporate identity of the respective bank.
